Before you arrive
- Coaches check in at Dwinelle 145 when doors open; see the schedule for times. Teams that checked in online pick up materials at Dwinelle 155.
- Bring pencils, erasers and a water bottle. No calculators are allowed on any round.
- Agree on a meeting point with your coach or family, and plan your journey with TakeTransit.
Finding your room
Your coach has your room assignment for each round. Use My rooms to look them up with your student ID, or the map for walking directions. Room numbers in Dwinelle tell you the floor (1xx is floor D at the main entrance, 2xx is floor E). Volunteers in BMT shirts can point you the right way, and the information desk by Dwinelle's main entrance (floor D) has every room assignment.
During the day
- Follow your proctor's instructions. A scheduled start time is not a signal to begin.
- Check updates for schedule changes and announcements. The page refreshes itself.
- Stay in your assigned room between rounds unless told otherwise. Keep your belongings with you.
Lunch
Pre-ordered lunches are picked up in Kerr Lobby (MLK Student Union). There are plenty of restaurants on the south side of campus and in Downtown Berkeley. Be back in your room before the afternoon round starts.
Awards
Awards are presented simultaneously in several auditoriums. Report to the awards room you were assigned at check-in; going to a different room may delay your award.
Wi-Fi, restrooms and accessibility
- Connect to Berkeley-Visitor, the free campus Wi-Fi: pick it from the list of networks and accept the terms; there is no password. If it doesn't connect, see the campus troubleshooting article.
- The map marks restrooms on every floor. Tick "Step-free" for routes without stairs; every tournament building has an elevator. If a route is closed, ask a volunteer or come to the information desk.
